Judging process

The Chefs’ Choice Awards brings together a highly experienced panel of judges, made up of food technologists, chefs, culinary research and development managers, plus end users such as food developers working for national pub chains. Over two days of judging our industry experts taste, touch and savour your products.

The products are prepared by developmental chefs from Food Innovation Solutions (FIS) in a professional kitchen, following the recommended preparation and portion guidance, serving suggestions and cooking times shown on the packet. Entries are also judged on ease and speed of preparation.

The judges mark against a strict criteria that takes into consideration innovation, quality, consistency, taste and texture.
